Back to semi-normal

Wow it seems like ages since I’ve sat down and done a post that wasn’t “a quick note.”

And of course it’s only typical that WordPress is acting REALLY slow today.

Well, the shows are done for now, I have another one coming up on December 6th in Brookville, AB from 10am -4pm and possibly another one come the end of January.

If you’re interesting in stopping in let me know and I can get directions for you.

I haven’t decided if I’ll be going to the January/February one yet though.

We’ll see.

But things are becoming progressively interesting.

Like I commented on my new page the striped bangles I did up are now being carried at Haven Skateboards & Snowboards shop locally here in Fort Saskatchewan.

So that’s cool.

I’m also working on a couple of commissions.

One commission is a logo for a bakery

and the other

is for a lady who liked my “Life Simplified” series and is getting a piece done in the “Hold Me” style.

Both of which I hope to have finished by the end of the month if not sooner.

I still have room on my schedule if anyone is interested in getting some commission work done.

Art makes a great Christmas present! *hint, hint* 😉

Or yanno those bookmarks are great little stocking stuffers.

LOL One of the joys of being a “starving Artist” is that you have to promote yourself to keep going…so buy buy buy 🙂 hehe

Hmm, I can’t really think of anything else at the moment so I suppose I should get back to painting and cooking supper.

Cheers!

A

This Saturday is the Official Meet & Greet for my latest solo exhibit "Unity in Diversity" love to have you come out and check out the work and stop by and say hi! Had a wonderful time leading the #fortsask #girlguides through my exhibit "Unity in Diversity" last night. We had a wonderful time talking art and chatting about how we can make our diversity unite us instead of divide us then I lead them in a mini mixed media painting of their own for them to take home. Love my job and love leading the next generation of creative ❤🖌🎨👩🏼‍🎨 "Unity in Diversity" my latest solo exhibit is all set up at the ALFA Gallery located outside the @shelltheatre it'll be on display until February 11th so stop in and check it out. The official Meet and Greet night is scheduled for Jan 28th from 6:30 to 8:30pm mark it on your calenders, stop in, say hello and check out my Art. Working on some mixed media fiber art pieces which will be on display at my upcoming exhibit "Unity in Diversity" in January. New exhibit coming in the New Year! Painted a 6" pumpkin this evening in keeping with Fall festivities but of course had to make it colorful and with lots of mark making. Studio is all set up ready for the 2022-23 teaching year. Visit me on FB to see the classes open for registration. Hooked up with the @fortsaskartists today for our Plein Air picnic. Since I'm not a landscape artist I just packed some mixed media supplies and started an abstract while hanging out with my fellow artist. It was a gorgeous day for it lots of sunshine mixed with lovely shady spots to paint. Been working on needle and wet felting the last little while as I wait to go back to teaching art classes. I figured 2022 was a good year to take up an art form that stabs or wrings things repeatedly lol art therapy to deal with chaotic times.
