Aurora Sky

Good Evening,

I found myself looking at Aurora Borealis photos today and thought what the heck I’ll give it a whirl.

As per the norm lately I did this piece using Painter X and free handed it on my Wacom tablet.

I decided to go with a semi-impressionistic approach.

I’m not usually one for landscapes but I loved the Aurora colours.

So here you have it.

La Luna

Good Evening (or Good Morning to those of you on the other side of the globe)

Today’s piece is a digital painting of the Luna Moth.

Here’s a little info about the luna.

Luna Moths are huge moths, with a wingspan of four and a half inches. They fly, only at night, in Spring and early Summer. The adult moth will wait until nightfall to fly off to find a mate. Adult Luna Moths don’t eat; in fact, they don’t even have a mouth. They only live for about a week, and their only purpose is to mate and die shortly afterwards. In some areas they are now considered endangered.”

“Industrial Wash”

Industrial Wash” is my newest abstract.

It is 9″x12″ painting on canvas pad done with acrylics.

Spreading my branches

Thankfully it’s Saturday and I had a decent nights rest.

Which means I’m back to creating stuff.

Here’s a mixed medium piece I just finished.

I dunno what to call it asides from the obvious.

So for now, here’s a tree.

It’s not spectacular but it is a warm up for the day.
