Curvy #2

As I mentioned in my last post, I’ve started another watercolor & ink series.

This series will consist of a watercolor background and a curvy woman inked in.

What I also neglected to mention

(and you can’t really tell that wellย  in the photos)

is that the watercolor background also has traces of either silver or gold acrylic paint to give additional character and depth.

As with my previous series “Life Simplified”, the emphasis is on simplistic beauty.

The dimensions are 11″ x 15″ and as usual painted on cold press 140lb watercolor paper.

Here is #2 in the Curvy series.

Curvy 2

I particularly like this one though I’m not quite sure why.

Perhaps it’s the colours or the submissive yet assertive posture of the woman.

Hope you enjoy.

Cheers,

Amanda

Good Evening,

Tonight’s sketch isn’t anything fancy really.

I was just messing around on my tablet and ended up with some glasses and a wine bottle. (hopefully it’s a good vintage ๐Ÿ™‚ )

I spiced it up a bit by giving it a woodblock/print/stamp effect. It’s kinda neat and is good enough for tonight.

So here’s a toast to future days, cheers!

(Oh and New Brunswick to Alberta is about 50 plus hours non-stop for anyone who was curious.)

I think it may have been inspired by the fact that I’ll be returning home soon (6 weeks to go)

Anyway, all told I think it probably took me 1/2hr to 45 minutes.

Without any further delay I present “Untitled”
