Good Evening,
I found myself looking at Aurora Borealis photos today and thought what the heck I’ll give it a whirl.
As per the norm lately I did this piece using Painter X and free handed it on my Wacom tablet.
I decided to go with a semi-impressionistic approach.
I’m not usually one for landscapes but I loved the Aurora colours.
So here you have it.

Don’t know if I’ve ever encountered an aurora that was quite so neon, but it’s nevertheless very cool.

This is almost an obvious thing for you to paint because of the colors! It’s nice because there’s a lot of texture on the ground as well and it balances the bright colors of the aurora sky 🙂
