Guitar Commission-Part Two

There’s just something about painting 3D objects that’s a fun, fun change from canvas.

The guitar is progressing beautifully.

I’m just waiting for some of the detail work to dry before adding the hands.

Here’s a few pictures to show you the progress.

Here’s the rough coat and the design layout.

Here’s it is again with the black outlines.

The black helps make the colors really pop.

And here’s a closer look at the body.

I think if it was mine I’d leave the hands off because I really like the whole stained glass effect.

Plus once I put the hands on it will tone down the vibrancy of the piece.

You know me and color lol I want it either super bold or soft and pale.

Anyway we’ll see how things go.

I’m hoping to finish it this weekend.

Well back to painting.

Cheers,

A

  1. Wow, that’s looking great!

That’s just crazy vibrant. I’m really impressed, babe.

I would suggest not putting the final work up here until after you give the peice to the person who commisioned it.
