Creative Overdrive

As I shared with you last time I’ve been working away on some Mixed media pieces lately.

Currently I have 15+ paintings on the go in prep for some Art Submissions as well as 2 or more gallery exhibits coming up in 2017.

Busy busy. On top of all the art I’m also increasingly busy as I enter into the Christmas order rush with my hand stamped jewelry business.

For those that don’t know I own Amanda Milke Art and Jewelry Studio so my hands are always working on something. This fall has been a steady mix of Painting, Teaching art classes and Metal stamping orders. Now I enter in to my peak season and starting mid November I’ll be adding Christmas markets into the mix as I set up my booth as a vendor.

Thus why I am trying to get a bunch done now before I hit my chaos zone.

Here’s  a look at the studio and some of the pieces I’m in progress of.

Well back to it… I still have a mixed media workshop to prep and teach this weekend 😉

May your creative Muse be kind allowing you to create something beautiful.

Shiny & New

OK so I came down sick with a cold and haven’t had a chance to start on the guitar asides from prime it. I’ve been passing out pretty hard after the kids are in bed the last few nights so haven’t gotten anything done really asides from basic survival lol.

BUT a new order of supplies arrived today…

I’ve been wanting to dabble in hand stamping for awhile now but just haven’t gotten around to it until now, when I was asked to do a custom order as a Father’s Day Gift. So much fun 🙂 I’ll post pics of the completed project later.

This week however, I have to finish that order, go to the Farmers Market Thursday and I have the Downtown Sale on Saturday so I’m thinking the guitar will have to wait til next week sadly…but I do have yet another project stewing in my brain that involves a pair of wooden clogs 😉 but I’ll save that for another post.

For now I’ll say goodnight & Cheers!

Farmer’s Market 2015

Well it’s that time of year again, the sun’s shining, the plants are greening up and the Farmer’s Market season Opens.

Our first market starts this Thursday so I’ve been spending the last few nights working on jewelry including some of these colourful beaded wrap bracelets.

So I haven’t forgot to post, I’ve just gotten busy as usual 🙂

I’ll post some pictures of the market Thursday night or Friday so check back and have a great night.

Cheers,
Amanda

Polished Pottery Pendants

Say that 3 times fast 😉

Anyway lol I finished up the pendants I posted about a few days ago and I’m loving the triple thick gloss.
It gives each piece a gorgeous shine and pottery appearance.

I still haven’t decided what my default necklace will be, ball chain, silk cord or color coordinated suede cord.

Also I’m trying to decide which style I like best. A few years ago I painted wooden bangles in the color blocked black doodle style andi sold out of them to a local skate/snowboarding shop so I tried it out on the pendants.

The other style is a more abstract organic textured print.  Personally I’m leaning towards that one.

I’d love to get your thoughts on them which one would you love to wear?

Well it’s been a long week and my carpal is acting up so I’m taking the night off to rest.
Have a Great weekend!
Tune back in next week for more Art.

Cheers,
Amanda
