Death of Creativity…also known as Monday

Right, so it’s Monday again which means back to work for another week…

With that being said I’d like to present you with a nice juxtaposition to ponder….

5 second trash can

“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players.” Shakespeare + 5 second sketch of a garbage can =’s (I’ll let you mull that one over)

As for me, I’m back to playing the part of an English teacher for another week….

“Life” so far…

I just thought it would be interesting to see how the “Life” series is looking so far.

So here’s a peek of how the paintings look together. Continue reading ““Life” so far…”

Central piece

Painting #4.

I’ve been toying with the idea of ditching the hexagon layout and going with a linear one.

I wanted a key piece, a painting that would stand out from the others and be central to the entire work. I think # 4 is that painting.

I wanted it to reflect me as well as the complicity of life. So, I’ve named it “Creator’s Touch.”

It is both representable of my touch as the artist and God’s touch as the grand designer of life.

“Window” to your soul maybe?

As mentioned in my previous post, 2 more paintings are now complete and I’m quite pleased with how they turned out.

I was working a split shift last week so I had a nice long break in the afternoon to relax so I decided I’d start working on painting #3.

My muse ended up being the sun shining through our patio windows. Thus I named it “Window.”

It’s not as abstracted as the previous 2 paintings but I like it all the same and ties in well with the rest of them. Let me know what you think!
