(Which granted isn’t necessarily a bad thing since it’s the Art business.)
I’ve spent the morning scanning some art to make into prints for the trade show in November.
I’m hoping to do up a bunch and whatever doesn’t sell at the tradeshow will be put online to sell.
So as I was scanning, I came across a postcard sized piece I did last Christmas while on a train ride to Tokyo and thought I’d share it with you today.
So as is the norm, I was sitting with my feet up. I have this tendency to either sit crossed legged or with my feet on something. I’ll probably suffer with bad hips or arthritis when I’m older but what are you going to do. I also had the camera with me because we were taking pictures out the train window. So I snapped this pictures of my feet and thought it made for an interesting composition. Continue reading “Stockpiled creativity”→
Today I had the fun experience of renewing my work visa.
This entailed approximately an hour and 15 min drive to get to Morioka, 30 min. on foot to find the place, 30 min to process the application, 15 min walk to the train station, 40 min wait for the train, 1 hour and 15 min train ride back to Mizusawa, 45 min lunch break, 1 hr of office work, 1 hr drive to Ichinoseki, 5hrs of teaching, 45 min drive home…CRAP day!
So, you may as well say I worked all day because I left for work a 8am and just got home now at 8:50pm.
So this is all you get!
A quick sketch I did on the train.
I am hoping however, that when I have some time again to turn it into a larger piece.
I want to black out the people and focus on the window with all the blurring colors as the train travels by.
I dunno if that will happen this weekend or not because I’m also working SUNDAY.
Have I mentioned I’m looking forward to coming home???
Oh and here’s a few videos for you, I couldn’t decide which one to post. (I like them all)
Today turned out to be more productive than I had expected.
I was trying to decide how I wanted to proceed with the “Sex” painting and ended up sketching out a new image that I like a lot.
The problem is, I couldn’t decide what medium to use.
SOOO, I’ve decided to start a new series titled “Hold Me.” I’m going to explore different mediums using the same image.
That’s right folks, it’s the start of a new week and the start of a new series.
This is the sketch…….>
This is #1 in the series “Hold Me” completed using watercolors…….>
** On a side note, the site traffic has increased a bit more than norm. The reason you ask? Because search engines have directed poor horny people looking for “sex” my way. 😛 Sorry folks, but if you’re looking for a bit of nookie you’ve come to the wrong place (that is, unless your fetish is art, in which case “Go crazy!” ). 🙂 **
