New Year, New Life, New Creations

Hello 2014, Think I forgot about you?

Well if you’ve been following along at all by now you should have realized I’m terrible at maintaining my blog,

add in the fact that I had our second baby at the end of January and the months tend to slip by.

But that’s life, and my kids and family are a big source of my joy and desire to create Art.

So how am I managing you might ask? lol Good Question.

Not Bad I guess,

I’m currently working on finding balance in raising two BEAUTIFUL Daughters: Zoë & Prudence

while trying to find time to keep our house from looking like a complete disaster 😉

while also doing my jewelry inventory

All the while trying to keep up with the flow of creative ideas I’ve had lately

Oh and of course trying to squeeze in sleep so I don’t go completely insane Heh!

So all in all not too bad.

I’ve also signed up for the entire season at our local Farmer’s Market so that will be keeping me busy from June until the end of August this year

and of course I’m still peddling my wares over on Etsy so pop on over.

As for me, I have a lot of work to do 🙂 and I will try to keep updating as I go along, but for tonight, back to inventory 🙂

Cheers,

Amanda

Creativity is switched ON

Ever have those nights where you’re laying in bed and you have something come to mind and you KNOW that if you don’t get up that instant and write it down it’ll be gone in the morning.

That happens to me ALL the time. I don’t know how many nights I have scribbled on a piece of paper in the dark hopping by morning I’ll understand what the heck it was I wrote down.

Well last night I didn’t have my idea book by the bed SO after Blinding myself with my cell phone I typed my thoughts out on my notepad.

What were they? It had to do with my Genesis Tree of Knowledge painting and I’d tell you my ideas for the piece but as they say “Spoilers Darling”.

Needless to say I went back to working on it tonight and though I didn’t work on the really exciting bits I did block in my next layer.

It may not seem like much but Trust me It’s all Clear now!

Prior to my epiphany last night I worked on a few earrings for my new jewelry line I’ll be starting.

If you know me at all then you’ll know it was the Bright bold colors that sold me lol

My love for color extends beyond my artwork.

Though oddly enough I still love my jeans and a black T lol

Anyway enough chattering for tonight.

Cheers,

Amanda

Come Together

Well things are really starting to come together!

The studio is starting to look great and is slowly becoming organized.

My Etsy Studio Shop is slowly getting stocked as I work my way through my Art inventory

and more people are starting to take notice and asking me about commissioning pieces.

So all in all I can’t really complain.

Plus I’m back to working on my 4’x4′ Garden on Knowledge painting.

The background is set and the base of the left side of the tree is in so now things will really start to get interesting.

Remember if you want to commission something message me, I’m your girl!

Home Sweet Home-Studio

Well the renovations have finally been completed in the basement and I am now free to set up my home studio.

Though it isn’t as fancy as some Artist’s may have it is mine and that’s Awesome!

It is far from complete as I still have a few tweaks I would like to make but for now this is how things are progressing.

The other half of the space will be shared by my husband for all his hobbyist en-devours and used as our Multi-Media room including our sizable home library.

All in all it should be a fairly stimulating work/play space.

I’ll update more as thing progress

Cheers!
