Guitar Commission-Part Two

There’s just something about painting 3D objects that’s a fun, fun change from canvas.

The guitar is progressing beautifully.

I’m just waiting for some of the detail work to dry before adding the hands.

Here’s a few pictures to show you the progress. Continue reading “Guitar Commission-Part Two”

#4 of Life Simplified

I just finished it.

#4 of the Life Simplified series is now complete.

I’m thinking I may extend this series.

Like my husband so kindly pointed out, there are 12 sheets and I’ve only used 4 of them.

That, and I’m really enjoying working on them.

I’m hoping to do up another set either today or this weekend.

I’ll post them of course when they’re sketched out.

Anyway, here’s #4 “Cherish Me.” Continue reading “#4 of Life Simplified”

#1 of Life Simplified

*Gasp* I haven’t posted for a few days!

Hubby and I went away camping in Banff for the long weekend. Much needed R&R/alone time was had.

Although, as is standard with my luck, it rained and snowed. Yes, you did read that right.

Anyway, the whole reason I was posting wasn’t to tell you about my weekend but to show you the first finished installment in the “Life Simplified” series. I was racking my brain over what to title each of the pieces and I realized that I’m doing a series called “Life Simplified” so I should focus on the basics. Since the series involves couples, the basics should be relational.

So what’s one of the major needs in a relationship? To make it easier for my female readership (who will instinctively say something more metaphysical) I’ll give you a hint. What would your man “honestly” answer? Yup, you guessed it. I’m starting the ball rolling with sex! Continue reading “#1 of Life Simplified”

Pierced

I wasn’t planning on posting anything this evening but, I started working on this piece after work and finished it in a few hours.

I figured I may as well share it since it’s finished.

I’ve titled it “Pierced”.

I could try to give you this long and no doubt disjointed explanation on the symbolism etcetera, but I’ve never been the best with words.

Instead, I’ll just let the piece speak for itself and leave it at that.
